Here’s something that works equally well on toddlers and grumpy adults: When you’re feeling out of sorts, run a S/W/N/W diagnostic. Do you need: A snack? A walk? A nap? Water? (The water can be administered in drink, bath, or swim doses.) Usually one of those four will work. No, it won’t change the world, but it will almost certainly change your mood.
