🚶 Today’s tip: You don’t need a workout to reap the benefits of exercise—just do something that doesn’t involve sitting down.

Yeah, yeah, you know, moving your body is good for your mental health. But finding the time for a workout is hard enough. In quarantine times, mustering up the motivation is another challenge entirely.

As Rob Roy Britt explains, though, you don’t need to exercise exercise to feel better — you just need, literally, to move your body. “Beneficial physical activity doesn’t have to be so hard nor regimented,” he writes. “Go plant a garden. Sweep the floor more often. Take a brisk walk. Any of these activities will get your heart pumping a little and are virtually guaranteed, from a biological perspective, to improve your mood and reduce stress.”
