In times of upheaval, pausing your day for something like stretching might seem frivolous. But setting aside a few moments to nurture your stressed-out body can be a game-changer. Our sister publication Elemental has recommendations for a few different movements to ease tensed-up muscles, but at the very least, try adjusting your position every half-hour or so during the day to reduce strain.
If “self-care” feels indulgent, think of it as maintenance: You’re keeping your body and your mind in working order so that you can put both to use in bigger things.
