In the age of pings, alerts, and never-ending Slack messages, is it really possible to be “indistractable?” Nir Eyal believes it is, and wants to talk about how. This Wednesday, the bestselling author of Indistractable and Hooked will join us for Medium in Conversation: How to be Indistractable, a live online conversation hosted by Medium. He’ll be talking to Amy Shearn, senior editor at Forge.

Over his years of studying human behavior, Eyal has found that in order to overcome distractions, we need to understand what drives our behaviors—the feelings that prompt us to compulsively look at our phones or check Twitter or read one more email. Only when we identify those triggers can we cope with them and ultimately transform our productivity. In this in-depth conversation, Eyal will discuss the frameworks he’s developed to help us do just that.

The event happens at 8 pm Eastern Time this Wednesday, May 5. It’s free to join but you’ll need to pre-register here. We hope to see you there.
