It can be both comforting and empowering to realize, as the writer Ashley Ford recently tweeted, âno matter how many people I feel responsible for, I am only in charge of myself.â
Yes, we should all take care of each other as best we can. But the most effective way to spend your mental energy is to channel it into the things you can control.
