There’s a Fine Line Between Achievement and Delusion

What the Law of Attraction gets wrong

When it comes to getting things done, people tend to fall into one of four categories:

  1. Loser: A person who has a negative outlook and also never takes action to improve.
  2. Insecure: A person who doesn’t really believe they can achieve great things but goes through the motions and makes progress anyway.
  3. Delusional: A person who believes they can achieve anything but doesn’t act accordingly.
  4. Achiever: A person who believes they can do great things and puts in the required work.

Losers and achievers are on different paths, but both are straightforward: Losers will lose, and achievers will achieve. Those who are insecure will eventually become achievers as long as they rely on their systems for getting things done. Their thoughts will catch up to their actions.

The group that frustrates me is the delusional. For years, I’ve been reading about the Law of Attraction (LOA), which says that our thoughts determine the outcome of our lives. Throughout history, some of the greatest…
