It’s been a year of uncertainty, from Covid-19 upending our daily lives to the roller coaster of an election. But, as Ashley C. Ford writes on Medium, in the post-election world, it suddenly seems possible to imagine futures again:
Of course, as Ford notes: “We’re not done. There is still so much work to do, and there will always be, and that has always been true.” But suddenly, with the weight of election stress lifted, her brain has space to remember her dreams of buying a house and having a baby.
My brain suddenly allowed me to once again imagine a planned trip with my best friend that we’d totally forgotten about. Have you recovered a future yet? What do you want to go back to imagining, and maybe even — dream, dream! — planning for?
