Reclaim your morning commute

🚗 Today’s tip: Ease into your mornings by re-creating your commute.

If you recently started working from home, your commute is probably something you don’t miss much. (Good riddance, angry drivers and packed subways.) But you might miss that daily transition: That in-between time is often a useful buffer between home life to work life.

So resist the urge to start work when you used to start your commute. Instead, set aside a commute’s worth of time to do whatever used to keep you busy on your morning journey: Listen to an audiobook, put on a podcast, daydream. Take a walk or bike ride if you like. The point is to give your brain time to get into work mode, minus the rush-hour crush.
