👋 Today’s tip: Give every social gathering a pre-set end time.

Social get-togethers are more awkward at this moment than they’ve possibly ever been. Because, well, so are we: A near-year of social distancing has made most of us a little rusty at human interaction.

But one way to take some of the pressure off of your next get-together — virtual or otherwise — is to give it a pre-set end time. As Kelli Korducki writes, “Being on the same page about timing will help ensure that all parties make the most of the time spent together.” You might even run out of time for feeling awkward.
