Today’s tip: Keep a “tiny good things” list.

Appreciating small joys where you can find them is important, but it also doesn’t feel like enough these days. Don’t just appreciate them. Hoard them.

On Tenderly, editor Summer Anne Burton recently shared a list of, as she put it, “things that that have happened recently that don’t make the world worse”: a kid’s funny drawing posted on Reddit, a news story about a town library lending its space to the local Humane Society, posts about newly adopted pets.

Open a doc or an email draft and start your own running list, dropping in links, snippets of text, or quick notes to yourself. Whenever you spot something that makes your day a little bit better, either online or out in the world, add it, and return to that list whenever you need a tiny dose of good.
