☀️ Today’s tip: Take a quick walk first thing in the morning to get in your daily dose of sunlight.

Hey, remember the sun? No? That’s fair. It’s been a while since we had anything but darkness past late afternoon. If the early winter nightfall is bringing you down, try borrowing from a treatment for seasonal affective disorder, or SAD: light therapy.

“Using a ‘SAD lamp’ in the morning is supposed to help kick-start your circadian rhythm by substituting a bright, white, artificial light for the sun,” explains Elemental’s Dana Smith, and a morning walk can have a similar effect. Start your day outdoors, in the light — as a bonus, it’s an excuse to get out of the house.
