🎲 Today’s tip: Play a new game (or an old favorite) this weekend.

“If we are going to get through this in one emotional piece,” writes Forge editor Amy Shearn, “we are going to have to really stay connected to small and tangible ways to feel good.”

This, of course, means the pandemic, a time when things like silliness and lightheartedness can feel like utterly antiquated concepts. But even if you don’t feel very playful right now, finding ways to act the part can help you recover a sense of fun, which, Shearn explains, is closely tied to the act of play: “That’s why we should all try something new and playful and dumb this weekend,” she writes. “Covid may keep us from joining a basketball team, but surely you can talk a family member into a game of charades or two.”
