Today’s tip: Take a two-minute break before every meeting.

A mental reset doesn’t have to be a big time investment. In fact, as Kate Morgan explains, a few minutes are all you need to create a “psychological buffer zone” between tasks — an in-between space that allows you to clear out the brain fog and re-energize your attention span.

Morgan recommends a few activities to make the most of those two minutes: Move your body. Get outside, or even just look out a window. Try emptying your mind for a brief window of quiet rest. Whatever you do, do it away from your desk, so your break feels like a clear punctuation mark in your day.
