⌛Today’s tip: Instead of “How much time will this take?” ask yourself, “How much time am I willing to spend?”

Work expands or shrinks to fit the time available. So in order to dedicate your most valuable hours to what really matters, shift your thinking.

Instead of looking at a task and trying to estimate how long it will take you, claim some agency over your time, and think about how long you’re willing to work on it. You might find that while you certainly could spend three hours adding nifty graphics to your Zoom presentation, the project just doesn’t warrant that kind of space on your calendar.
