🍳 Today’s tip: Melt away video-call awkwardness by doing an activity.

Here’s an idea to avoid yet another uncomfortable, chaotic group Zoom: the activity-based video call. Some are playing Jeopardy or doing screenplay table reads with friends.

On our sister publication LEVEL, the chef and Top Chef alum Brother Luck suggests turning your online hangouts into long-distance cooking classes. Pick one person to walk the group through an old family favorite or their own specialty, send out an ingredient list in advance, and then follow along from your own kitchens.

There’s no room for awkwardness when you’re cooking. And when you’re done, you can tuck into a delicious meal.
